He texted some things he shouldn't have on his work phone and said some pretty old-fashioned racist stuff. Stupid, ignorant stuff.
He probably didn't deserve to lose his place in football forever and was pretty contrite and embarrassed about the whole thing.
Now he's managing Wigan. Shouldn't that be punishment enough?
